Brunette Engineering Pty Ltd is a locally owned Australian machining engineering specialist company that has been operating since 1996.

We pride ourselves on our extensive experience in machining, milling, drilling and slotting that allows us to provide the highest quality output on all manufacturing and repairing services.

Quality service, delivery and output are cornerstone values of our company. Our employees are experienced in producing work of both general and precision machining using CNC (Computer Numeric Controlled) and manual machines. Our tradesmen have worked with medical grade materials as well as repairing and manufacturing parts such as pumps, machinery including both light and heavy production equipment.

Brunette Engineering’s facility is equipped to handle a wide range of jobs. With two overhead cranes, mills and CNC machines in a variety of sizes we are able to manage large jobs as well as providing fine tuned detail on our precision work. We are also comfortable with a range of materials including alloy, mild and stainless steels, aluminium, brass, bronze, PVC and medical grade materials.

 

Our Capacities:

Our premises at Boolaroo offers two overhead cranes  for safe and effective handling of plant equipment up to ten tonne in weight.

Our current range of machinery is as follows:

OKUMA CNC lathe with 1000mm length between centres, spindle of 80mm diameter with a swing over the cross-slide to approximately 300mm. This machine is a full 4 axis capability with ‘Y’ and ‘C’ axis milling operations on all tooling

OKUMA CNC lathe with 500mm length between centres, spindle of 65mm diameter with a swing over the cross-slide to approximately 200mm

HARTFORD CNC Machining Centre with four axis operation – with travels of; 1000mm X-Axis, 600mm Y-Axis, 630mm Z-Axis

Six small – medium size ‘manual’ centre lathes:

Two lathes – with 2.00mtr and One with 3.00mtr between centres, each with a capacity of 420mm diameter swing over the cross slide with a 105mm diameter spindle bore. For ‘shorter’ work, we can swing 660mm diameter over the bed and 1.10 metres diameter in the gap in these machines.

Two Lathes with 1.50 metre length between centres, with a capacity of 250mm diameter swing over the cross slide. For ‘shorter’ work, we can swing 400mm diameter over the bed and 600mm diameter in the gap

One Lathe with 1 metre length between centres, spindle 39mm diameter with a 200mm diameter swing over the cross slide to 300mm diameter in the gap

One (1) Horizontal Borer – with a 1150mm square flat bed c/w 4 Morse taper spindle, facing/boring head with all fixture

Two (2) Radial Arm Drills – one with a 3 Morse taper and one with five Morse taper in drive spindle

Three (3) x Vertical/horizontal Turret Milling Machines one with a slotting attachment for internal keyways and splines 

Band saw with capacity to cut up to 290mm diameter material complete with hydraulic feed.

Two (2) Hydraulic Presses- One @ 150 tonne and 1 @ 4 tonne

Vertical Slotting Machine – Overall stroke of 300mm

Pan Break – up to 2.4 mtrs wide and 6mm mild steel

Guillotine – up to 2.4 mtrs wide and 6mm mild steel

Materials consistently used include;
